Dutch with Jolien (we, us) provides online Dutch lessons, group classes, and a self-paced course. This page explains what personal data we collect, why, and how you can control it.
What we collect
- Account details: name and email address when you sign up.
- Booking data: lesson and class times, credits purchased, messages sent through the site.
- Payment data: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
- Calendar data: if you teach, your Google Calendar is connected to check availability and add lessons — we only store an access token, not your calendar contents.
- Usage data: quiz results, game scores, and progress, so lessons can be tailored to you.
Why we collect it
To run the booking system, process payments, schedule lessons on Google Calendar, and let you track your progress. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell it to anyone.
Who we share it with
- Supabase — hosts our database and handles sign-in.
- Stripe — processes payments.
- Google — calendar scheduling for lessons and classes.
Each only receives what it needs to do its job, and none of them may use your data for their own purposes.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can ask to see, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. Email hello@dutchwithjolien.be and we will handle it within 30 days.
How long we keep it
We keep account and booking data for as long as your account is active, or as required by Belgian tax law for payment records. Deleting your account removes the rest.
